Being partly residential in character, BCREC has two modern college hostels in steel township of Durgapur - one for boys and other for girls with sufficient space. Apart from  good boarding and lodging, common room, recreation facilities including indoor and out door games, the college is proud of high standards of accommodation at its hostels.  Services of a reputed Doctor  is available in both the hostels for students. However, for serious ailment, students are admitted and treated at reputed Nursing Home / Hospital and the guardians are to pay for the same. 

Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College, Fuljhore, Durgapur has facilities for accommodating Parents, Guardians and Guests of Students and Faculty of this College at their “Guest House” within the Campus.The Guest House has three twin-sharing, air-conditioned rooms with attached bath, and is well equipped with furniture.Three non air-conditioned guest rooms with twin-share arrangements and attached bath, are also available. Guests may avail of meals /snacks, on order from the Student Canteen at moderate rate. The charges are nominal. Each air-conditioned room is available for Rupees Four Hundred per day, and the non air-conditioned rooms are available for Rupees Two Hundred and fifty per day, each. Allotment of rooms is subject to availability.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR HALLS OF RESIDENCE

Accommodation in college hostels is a matter of privilege and not a matter of right. Seats at both the Boys’ and Girls’ Hostels are limited and students are advised to apply separately for admission to the hostels immediately after admission to the college in a prescribed form  available at the Corporate Office. After scrutiny  of each application and if necessary, after discussion with the guardian,  management will put up the list of selected students and money for hostel admission will be accepted thereafter on specified date.  During selection, specific need of each student, financial strength as well as other aspects etc. will be taken care of. Admission to hostel will be for one academic year only  and continuance in the next academic year will be based on fresh renewal subject to good conduct. Application, if any, for leaving the hostel will be considered only at the end of each academic year. If any student prefers to leave the hostel during this period, that can be done  subject to approval of Principal. However, no request for any refund of Seat Rent etc. will be entertained incase of leaving the hostel within the academic year. Allotment of Hostel seat is strictly based on first come first serve basis.
